It all started with an idea on a post-it note amongst friends. An awareness that our community was missing a vital piece of Mexican culture - a market where people could come together to buy traditional Mexican goods, meet their neighbors over good conversation and food, and celebrate their heritage. A gathering place that inspires and celebrates our family and friends with a zest for Mexican culture and a strong desire to experience the authentic experience of being in Mexico. And from this realization El Barrio was imagined and took root.

Fast-forward to present day – we are a fully operational and vibrant Mexican market providing traditional grocery and retail items to our community. We offer grocery staples including produce and carefully selected beer and wine, a full-service butcher counter, a small bakery with baked-fresh items daily and signature brewed coffee, plus an attached artisanal retail space supplying homewares, décor, apparel, accessories and gifts – all sourced directly from Mexico! Don’t forget our made-to-order food prepared by family recipes to bring a true taste of Mexico.
